How do I use critics in a coursework essay?

In a coursework essay only use critics that support the themes that you are drawing upon. You should make sure you interpolate them properly, it's better to introduce them and explain them after the quotation rather than using merely a quotation and not developing it. You must not allow critics to speak for you, instead they should enhance what you are trying to say, and help you engage with critical discourses relevant to your text. You must engage with the critics, but you can also disagree with a critic and use them as an opportunity to be original and argue against a certain critical approach. These methods will make your argument and analysis more nuanced. They can also be really useful for context, awareness of context is useful in developing an accurate view of a text and its author.
