How do I write a good answer to an LNAT Essay?

You have 40 minutes to write an answer to the LNAT essay meaning that it has to be concise and well argued. The best way to answer whatever question you might have is actually surprisingly simple, despite the prevailing attitude being that you cannot prepare for the LNAT. Firstly, it is useful to have a read about controversial/ethical issues online to gain an understanding of arguments on both sides. When actually writing the essay, it is a good idea to provide two strong arguments on one side of the issue (i.e. 2 paragraphs), while providing a paragraph on the other side of the issue to show that you acknowledge that the issue is not clear cut. Then, however, it is good to undermine/suggest why that flip-side has less validity than the side you are strongly arguing for. This ultimately creates an essay which shows that you can argue effectively and knowledgeably about difficult issues without entirely forgetting the presence of differing views on the topic.
