Some babies are born with a hole between the right and the left ventricles. These babies are unable to get enough oxygen to their tissues. Suggest why.

This question is an example of the 'suggest' questions that are asked. 'The hole is due to the failure of the foramen ovale to close. As a result, oxygenated blood from the left ventricle mixes with deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle. This means that less oxygenated blood is delivered to metabolising tissues in a given time and so insufficient oxygen reaches the tissues.'
