Can I use diagrams in my answers?

Yes, if a diagram is relevant, always use them. For example if you are answering a questions of the different types of tectonic plate boundaries it would be helpful to sketch and briefly label each one to help you explain your answer. But be careful not to take too much time drawing the perfect diagram, you wont be marked on your artisitc skills!
