How do we conjugate the verbs at the future ?

We take their infinitve form and we add at the end of it the following endings:  -ai (je) -as (tu) -a (il/elle) -ons (nous) -ez (vous) -ont (ils/elles) Nevertheless, they are exceptions to know.

I do not understand why some words in French start with "le" "la" "une" or "un". Why isn't it just "the" or "a"?
