Solve (1/2)*(4x+2)+3=8

First of all, we operate the parenthesis obtaining 2x+1+3=8. Operating then, 2x+4=8, and leaving everything that depends on x in one side, 2x=8-4 (remember to change the sign when passing from one side of the equal to the other side). Finally, operating, x=4/2=2.
