To what extent does the book Le Petit Prince indicate that parents loose their imagination as they grow up?

To a small extent this statement is true as the Pilot demonstrates a development of his creativity and imagination throughout the book as he reverts into his childhood reveries. The Pilot is an adult therefore not all his imagination can be concieved as losst, however it is true that it is much weaker or smaller in comparison to the young Little Prince.
