How can I describe a sentence?

Declaritive - to declare something Imperative - to demand Interrogative - to question, indicated via a question mark '?' Exclamative - to exclaim, indicated via an exclaimation mark '!' Rhetorical question - a question with no need of an answer Simple - consists of one clause Complex - consists of one independent and dependent clause You can also notice if sentences are fragmented, incomplete, repeated or single lined paragraphs to denote the significance of it to the overall tone of the writer.
