The cyrrilic alphabet is quite difficult for foreign language learners, especially if you are only familiar with latin writing and pronounciation. The most common difficulties that students face are pronouncing letters such as и versus ы in words like мишка and мышка, which have very different meanings. To overcome these difficulties practise is important, and memorising authentic russian phrases to use in any context will boost your performance. Stress due to necessity to answer immideatly is the cause of many students underperforming under these conditions, and the goal is the have a safety collection of sentences you can say if you are completely lost in the moment.
