How to stand out in personal statements

Make sure you put things in which are relevant to your course. For example if you want to study History like myself, research the course requirements on the university website and see what modules they do, then if you have an interest in them put it in your CV to show the uni that you are proactive and you really want to join them. Show you have a general interest for the subject that you want to study, do this by saying what you have done not stating that 'I have always loved...'.
