Describe two processes of the hydrological cycle that return water to the oceans

The processes of the hydrological cycle include precipitation, surface runoff, groundwater flow or through flow.

Precipitation is the process of clouds producing rain. Surface runoff is where water travels down over the ground towards the sea as it cannot pass through impermeable rocks. If the rocks beneath the water are permeable then this may turn into groundwater flow.
