Describe the process of protein transport via vesicles in eukaryotes

Proteins are synthesised in the ribosomes from mRNA and tRNA nucleotides. Proteins enter the rough ER and are bound to vesicles here.  The vesicles detach from the rough ER and transport the proteins to the Golgi Apparatus. They fuse with the cis side of the Golgi. They are modified as they move through the stacked cisternae and exit in a secretory vesicle on the trans side. These vesicles move across the cytoplasm to the plasma membrane. They will fuse with the membrane and the contents are expelled from the vesicle out of the cell.
