How do you form the present subjunctive?

To form the present subjunctive of you have to start with the third person plural of the verb, for example 'jouent'. Remove the -ent from the end and add the following endings: -e, -es, -e, -ions, -iez, -ent.

There are quite a few verbs that have an irregular subjunctive form, and they have to be learnt off by heart.
