How do we use the French imperative?

The imperative occupies a very special place compared to other modes: it has its proper synthax.

It expresses an order in different aspects such as a wish, prayer ... and in negative form, defense.

It borrows from indicative and subjunctive.

It can only be used in a 2nd person singular and plural, and 1st person plural:

Speak / Talk / Talk

It also only has two forms:

Present and past / active and passive

Simple form: Ex: Learn French!

Form composed: Ex: (You must) Have learned this lesson before Saturday.
