What sort of structure should my 25 mark essay have?

My A Level English Literature exam was three hours long, consisting of three 25 mark essays. This means that you should spend about an hour on each. Generally the essay should consist of an introduction, three paragraphs containing three different points and a conclusion. Typically this would take up 3-5 pages of A4 lined paper. Your introduction should set up the debate that is put forward in the question. Each point should be made in their own separate paragraphs, and should link back to the question. They also need to hit each assessment objective that is explained in the mark schemes. The conclusion shouldn’t introduce any new information but summarise your argument with close attention to the question in order to round off your essay.
