How does the writer use language to create interest in the story?

Remember: NEVER CRUSH SNAILS LET THEM EAT - WHY?narrative, characters, structure, language, themes and ideas, effect and why it is important.1- Quotations to show what you're talking about. 2- What effects are used? A simile and how does it build interest?3- How are the characters described? Do we know their thoughts? Are they addressed by their names or pro-nouns?4- What are the major contrasts- is the characters and the scenery, the clothing, background etc5- What descriptions jump out at you and how do you react?6- What information is left out that leaves us thinking?Remember how does the language effect us, not what techniques are used.
