who were the greek gods?

The Olympian Gods were figures from Greek mythology who had their own personal stories and attributes- the Greeks loved to tell stories of the relationships amongst the Gods and their meddling with humans . They were seen as all powerful and responsible for determining and influencing the lives of mortals- some even argue that the Gods were personifications of mankind. They will appear in lots of the literature you will read so it's good to have a grasp of the main gods and goddesses and the things they're associated with.
