How do you structure an introduction for an ELAT essay?

Ideally, you should include:A general statement about the topic in question at the start e.g. 'Throughout literary history, urban settings have often been portrayed as lifeless and bleak'An agreement or disagreement with the statement you have made eg. 'However, this appears to not be the case in X' or 'This is especially true in X'If necessary, it is good to problematise certain words in the question e.g. 'However, 'desire' seems to be ill - fitting for these two passages due to the nouns sexual connotations'Make your argument clear but be careful when using decisive language - especially when assuming the authors view.
