Describe the Ethnic Density Effect relating to Psychosis. What did Velling et al (2007) find relating to this, and what does it suggest about the role of socio-developmental factors in psychosis?

Ethnic minorities living within an area with few people from the same ethnic background is associated with increased psychosis incidence.Within Velling et al's (2007) study they found that immigrant groups in Holland had increased rates of psychosis correlating with discrimination, suggesting that discrimination & victimisation could play a significant role in the development of psychosis.
