What are the main differences between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes?

Type 1 diabetes presents younger than type 2, and results from an autoimmune reaction of the pancreas. This means patients have no insulin available to store glucose as glycogen. Type 2 diabetes presenets later, and is a problem of insulin resistance. This means patients have enough insulin, but the cells are resistant to it so insuin cannot work. Type 1 has no associated risk factors, but exercise and diet affect chances of suffering from type 2 diabetes.
