3/4 +5/3 = ?

When either adding or subtracting fractions from one another, the denominators have to be the same. Find the lowest common multiple;3*4 = 12then because you multiplied 3 and 4, you also have to multiply the numerator by the same amount. 9/12 + 20/12 now add the numerators, and the denominators stay the same29/12
