What is a valid argument?

A valid argument is one where if the premises are all true then it is impossible for the conclusion to be false. E.g. P1: If Glasgow is in Scotland then Glasgow is in the UK P2: Glasgow is in Scotland Conclusion: Glasgow is in the UK
