An explanation of the Passive Tense in German Language.

The passive tense is essentially used to revert a normal sentence, which means that the object becomes the subject and vice versa. It it commonly used in English, for example:Sentence: A man builds a house. Passive Voice: A house is being built by a man. In German, this tense is formed by using the verb "warden" which means "to become". Present tense: "werden"conjugated ____ (past participle of a verb) e.g. Das Haus wird von einem Mensch gebaut. - A house is being built by a man.Imperfect tense: "wurde" ( past participle of a verb)e.g. Das Haus wurde von einem Mensch gebaut. - A house was being built by a man.Perfect tense: "sein" conjugated(past participle of a verb) + worden e.g. Das Haus ist von einem Mensch gebaut worden. - A house has been built by a man.Plusquamperfekt tense: imperfect "sein" conjugated__(past participle of a verb)+wordene.g. Das Haus war von einem Mensch gebaut worden. - A house had been built by a man.
