Can I write about more than one subject in my Personal statement?

This is a common question. In the UK, UCAS applications should favour the one academic subject you are applying for. When writing my personal statement I created a structure that would help fit all the informational I wanted to explain about myself and why it was relevant for the subject I was applying for (Social Anthropology). The first step is to start with the point in time that you came to realise your chosen subject - the moment you became aware that was what you wanted to study. Saying things like, "I have always wanted to study Film" or "I have been interested in English Literature since I was little" does not help your case as it sounds cliché and not unique to your personal interest in the subject. You have to choose a more specific moment such as a speech you heard or a documentary that sparked your interest on a deeper level.
The second step in the process is to choose 3 or 4 academic pieces of writing or subjects that relate to your application subject. I chose to write about my Extended Essay, HL History and HL Theatre, which all had various different Anthropological themes. The final stage is to write something about you but that is also relevant to your subject, for example I wrote about a trip to Cambodia to teach Drama which taught me about communication in a different culture and linked well with Anthropology.
