Outline a factor that has led to globalisation

Globalisation is the growing integration of the world's economies.
One factor that has enabled globalisation to take place is the reduction in international trade barriers. This is because over the last decade several countries have allowed trade to flow freely, in and out of their country. A clear example of a reduction in trade barriers are that amount of free trade agreements (FTAs) that have been agreed such as ASEAN, which consists of China, Korea, India, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Therefore free trade agreements would quite clearly lead to more countries increasing their exports, and also would lead to the integration of the world's economies, due to the fact that more countries are trading with each other now more than ever.
In conclusion without a reduction in international trade barriers, I believe that it would be difficult to integrate the world's economies, because there is no easier way for countries to conduct business with one another than trading.
