What are they assessing?

The TSA claims that they are testing an individual for 'problem-solving skills, including numerical and spatial reasoning. critical thinking skills, including understanding argument and reasoning using everyday language.', but they are essentially testing how you will respond to the Oxford's of socratic method teaching. The tutorial system asks that students are critical and creative. Solving these problems will show that you have a base that can be built on. Scoring high is of course positive, but as long as you have a solid personal statement and display a reasonable ability this is pretty much all you will need.

We need to accept flooding as a regular occurrence in the UK. Statistics show that days of ‘extreme rain’ (very heavy rainfall) have become more common since 1960, moving from one in a hundred days on average in the 1960s to one in seventy days in 2015. T


Every year 1000 people fall off their boats into the water, yet some boats still do not carry life jackets. If all boats did carry life jackets then the number of people falling into the water would be reduced. What is the flaw in this argument?
