What is the mass (in grams) of 0.1 moles of CaCO3?

Use the equation mass(g) = moles x Mr

The moles are given in the question, moles= 0.1 mol

Look at a periodic table to work out the Mr of CaCO3:
Ca= 40
C= 12
O= 16
Therefore Mr= 40+12+(16x3)
                     = 100

So mass (g)= 0.1x100
                   = 10 g
