What are your top tips for the interview process?

The main thing to remember for Oxbridge interviews is to enjoy them! They are an incredible opportunity to talk one-to-one with an expert in your subject, so you can use the time to ask them questions about topics you're interested in. The interviewers are looking above all else for someone who is passionate about their subject. If you're enjoying it, asking questions, and really engaging with them, this interest that you no doubt have will shine through. Bring in any extra reading you have done, or you may be specifically asked to talk about this, to show this interest on another level. It's also important to remember that these academics may well become your supervisors or directors of study. This means that they are looking for someone who they feel is teachable. So if the interviewers start giving you new information or prompts, use them to develop your answers. Feel free to ask for more information, or time to think about an answer. Finally, remember that the interview is just one part of the application process. This means if you feel like it hasn't gone well, it doesn't necessarily mean you haven't got in!
