How do you ask questions in French?

This seems to be quite a common question for students and is often overcomplicated.To answer this (using diagrams to support) I would explain that there are two common ways to ask questions in French. - -1. The most simple way is to raise your voice at the end of the sentence (oral only)- e.g tu as faim?2. you can simply put est-ce que at the start of the phrase: est-ce que tu as faim?If the student is at a more advanced level then I would go on to explain other methods which can be used...3. change the order of the subject and the verb: tu as faim---> as-tu faim?4. You can also use question words at the start of a question: Qui/ Qu est-ce que/ quand: e.g quand pars-yu en vacances? (subject and verb need to be switched again)
