When and how would I use the conditional mood in French?

The conditional mood is used in order to demonstrate that a particular verb/action is only valid upon some condition.E.g. "I would go to the park but it is raining."en français: «j'irais au parc mais il pleut»In this example, going to the park is conditional on the weather and therefore one says. Whereas in English the conditional mood is indicated by adding an auxiliary verb such (e.g. would, could), in French, the conditional mood is indicated by conjugating the verb (e.g. aller ==> irais).
