How do I help show I have a passion for the subject I have chosen to study at University?

When writing a personal statement it is best to demonstrate your passion for a subject by outlining any relevant extracurricular activities or further reading you have done, rather than just expressing it through words. For instance, as I was applying to university for Philosophy, Politics and Economics, I demonstrated my interest for Economics by mentioning my involvement in the Bank of England Interest Rate Challenge and that I was Managing Director of my Young Enterprise company. In my personal statement, to illustrate why I also wanted to study a course involving Politics, I included my relevant work experience at the House of Commons and involvement in Model United Nations. Not only is it important to show your desire to further your knowledge with activities and experience in the relevant subject. It is also important to talk about how these experiences encouraged you to choose that subject at university and mention any skills you gained from this experience.
