What is the difference between a good exam answer and a great one?

A good exam answer will include a range of primary evidence, demonstrating the student's knowledge of the subject. A great exam answer will open and close each example-filled paragraph with a direct link to the essay question, demonstrating the student's ability to apply their knowledge to specific enquiries in a considered and coherent manner.
