Explore the ways in which the writer of the great Gatsby presents corruption

First of all I would begin by writing a mind map detailing any thing about corruption in the novel: quotes, characters, literary techniques etc to get all ideas down.
Continuing on I would advise them to look for any connections that could be made between any quotes and/or characters/ literary techniques and try to group them into paragraphs that make sense eg Paragraph 1: Gatsby himself as corruption frokm Jay Gatz to the "great gatsby" , Paragraph 2: Symbolism and so on. Then for each theme create a topic sentence and then explain and analyse the point they have made in order to form a cohesive essay.
