What should my "testing" area of my sketchbook focus on?

This is a tricky part of the mark scheme to understand, but once you know what the examinar is asking for, its no problem!

Testing is about showing that you ahve tried other methods before you picked your own. So, for example, if your final project is using acrylic paint, you will need to show that you tested using, say, oil paints and then write a small paragraph next to your testing explaining why the oil paints weren't as affective. As well as this, you may want to show testing for the colours you have chosen to paint in- why you chose "burnt orange" rather than a different shade of orange. Really, the examiner is looking to see a clear progression of your thinking and how you have reached your final piece through all of this testing.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
