Explain 2 Advantages of Using Die Casting over Sand casting for the manufacturing of a Metal Engine Block.

Options: (1 mark for 1 Advantage, 1 mark for 1 Explanation)Die casting has a better surface finish (1 mark). This Allows for a reduction of additional processes needed to finish the product which can make the production of the Engine block cheaper(1 mark) and it will get to the customer in a shorter space of time(1 mark).The Die casting Mould can be reused and in sand casting the mould is only used for one product and gets wasted (1 mark). This ensures that there is less material wastage due to mould (1 mark). Cheaper as no need to use a mould for each product (1 mark)
