Describe how a Red Blood Cell's structure is related to its function

It has a bi-concave shape which means that it has a larger surface area, so that more Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide can move in and out.It has no nucleus to allow maximum amounts of haemoglobin (a protein that carries oxygen around the body) in the cell, so maximum amounts of Oxygen can be carried.
