Why do you want to study medicine?

I'd ask for the student to give me their answer to the question, and then provide feedback based on what they said. Ideas for my response to their answer:This is a very common question! You will be asked it most the time in an interview - so be prepared! Different factors to consider: interest for science, desire to help people, interest in patient contact & human engagement, insights during work experience.Key Tips:• Have your answer prepared but make it seem natural• Do not get carried away with passion and emotion• Don’t list points - pick two or three and expand• Understand that medicine is a fusion of science and social• Use your work experience
