Name 3 differences in the structure or function of phloem and xylem vessels.

Phloem vessels are made of living cells, whereas xylem cells are dead.Xylem vessels are lined with lignin and have no end walls, whereas phloem have perforated end walls. Xylem transport water in a single direction, whereas phloem transport amino acids and sucrose in both directions.
