Give three advantages and disadvantages of of the legislative process

Advantages:1) Parliament makes law in a democratic way through its elected members, known as MP's.2) Bills are subjected to high levels of scrutiny and consideration 3)Delegated legislation allows the relevant experts to make detailed law in areas parliament can not
Disadvantages:1) It's democratic character can be questioned as we do not vote on laws passed2) Parliament has been known to force bills through without proper consideration due to time constraints, for example the Dangerous Dogs Act 19913) Delegated legislation is a challenge to parliamentary sovereignty
