How does Lisa Milroy elevate her paintings of everyday household objects?

Milroy often arranges the objects in rows or patterns against plain backgrounds, allowing them to stand out through isolation. Her use of repetition and a linear aesthetic unravels new characteristics of the objects- that would otherwise go unnoticed, creating a whole new way of looking at them.
