How do I pick a College?

The College's will all tell you that this is about personal choice: visit the Colleges and pick one in which you feel at home.Whilst this is true, it is worth looking at the numbers, too, if you want to stand a strong chance of getting in. Look at how many applicants each College receives for your Tripos, and how many students they take each year. You could also find out if there are particular Colleges that prize extra-curricular skills you may have: are you a sportsperson and would be able to contribute actively to the College's sporting community, for example? You may also want to look at the cost of living in each College, if this will influence your decision. Living costs can vary greatly from College to College and you might want to bear this in mind.
