How can I prepare for French oral exams?

Here is a step by step guide to feeling confident in oral exams:A) Find out your exam board and print all relevant documents (mark schemes, exemplar material, you could even ask your teacher whether they have access to other sources). This will help you to know exactly what the examiner is expecting of you.B) Gain exposure to listening to french. The BEST way of doing this from the UK, is by listening to french radio and watching french youtubers. Even by doing this for 10 minutes every day, you will gradually get used to listening to french. This will help with pronunciation, colloquialisms, and equally for the listening exam! C) Prepare a list of 'starting phrases' for each possible question. Get used to begginning your sentences with these, eg A mon avis (we will go into more detail in the lesson!) and this will enable you to think on the spot, whilst buying you a bit more time to conider your response.D) Practice a little bit every day! This may sound like a chore, but if you get used to practicing, you're likely to feel more comfortable. If your school/college has a native french assistant, try to get as much help as after all, they know what they're talking about and will be able to make you sound more naturalE) Finally, relax; if you're nervous, you may not perform to the best of your potential.
