What is the subjunctive?

The subjunctive is a special verb form or mood used to express actions of uncertainty, possibility and probability. Feelings of doubt and statements of necessity also use the subjunctive. Clause are nearly always introdued by the pronouns qui and que.

What is the plus-que-parfait and when do you use it?
