For those who don&#8217;t know, many of the sessions are funded by the government grants like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/pupil-premium\/pupil-premium\">Pupil Premium<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/nationaltutoring.org.uk\/\">National Tutoring Programme<\/a>. The pupils who receive these grants tend to be from disadvantaged backgrounds, and likely wouldn&#8217;t otherwise be able to afford a tutor like you.<\/p>\n<p>Because schools draw on very limited budget to pay for this tuition, it&#8217;s really important we offer them the best service possible to make the most of the opportunity. That&#8217;s why we&#8217;re always trying to improve the platform, and support our tutors to be as reliable as possible. Here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<h4>We\u2019re helping you keep on top of tutorials \u23f0<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 We send you an email 10 minutes beforehand with a link to the lesson space<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We send you an SMS reminder before the lesson start time (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mytutor.co.uk\/tutors\/secure\/edit-details.html\">so make sure your phone number&#8217;s accurate<\/a>!)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We\u2019re currently testing out a calendar integration tool for school lessons<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We\u2019ll reach out if we notice you miss a lesson or arrive late<\/p>\n<h4>We\u2019re always trying to improve \ud83d\udd27<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 We\u2019ve made our Product and Tech teams bigger, so we can fix more bugs, and introduce useful features (like our recent option to download your payment data for easy tax returns)!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 You now have 6 new Tutor Reps who you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mytutor-reps.co.uk\/get-in-touch-with-your-reps\">make suggestions to here<\/a> &#8211; that way we can understand which changes are most important to you<\/p>\n<h4>We understand things come up \ud83d\udc42<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 So later this month we\u2019re launching a way to make it even easier to request a cover tutor<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 You also have the option to stop boosting or hide your profile if you\u2019re not currently looking for work<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We\u2019ve updated our <a href=\"https:\/\/help.mytutor.co.uk\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/4415500191250-Schools-Programme-Attendance-and-Lateness-Policy\">Attendance Policy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/help.mytutor.co.uk\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/4415500258450-Schools-Programme-Cancellation-Policy\">Cancellation Policy<\/a> to make things clear and easy to digest<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 And if you disagree with our processes, we\u2019re all ears &#8211; get in touch with us if you have feedback!<\/p>\n<p><strong>As always, if you have any questions or feedback, we\u2019d love to hear from you.
