With the uni semester coming to an end, we want to thank all our tutors teaching during such a busy time! We at MyTutor wish you the best of luck in completing your exams and deadlines – you\u2019ve got this! This month saw us host our first ever Tutor Town Hall, and as summer approaches, we have some more exciting things coming up. Read on to find out more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inclusivity in the classroom – Pride Webinar \ud83c\udff3\ufe0f\u200d\ud83c\udf08<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate Pride month, we\u2019re hosting a Pride themed webinar with guest speaker Mahlon Evans-Sinclair who\u2019s an educator and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion facilitator. During this session, he\u2019ll be discussing the importance of inclusivity, how you can play a role as tutors within that, and practical ways you can apply your learnings to lessons. This will take place on the 14th of June at 2pm. Be sure to sign up for a spot here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A note on payment this Jubilee Bank Holiday \ud83d\udcb0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend starts on Thursday 2nd June, payments won\u2019t be processed until Monday 6th June – we\u2019re sorry for any inconvenience this causes. It\u2019s worth noting that unfortunately even if we brought the processing date forward, it wouldn’t significantly impact the day money would hit your account as banks aren\u2019t able to process payments over the weekend or Bank Holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tutor Town Hall takeaways\ud83c\udfdb\ufe0f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to all those who attended our first Tutor Town Hall event this month – it was great to see many of you join! Following feedback from those who attended, we plan make future versions even better and to continue to keep you in the loop about what\u2019s happening behind the scenes. For those who couldn\u2019t attend, you can read up on the key takeaways of the event in this blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet your lesson observers \ud83d\udd0e<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As most of you know, we have a feedback programme on the school side of the platform – and your lessons are watched at random by some of our most experienced, long-serving, school tutors. You can get to know them here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An update on our app \ud83d\udcf1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re almost ready to launch the first version of our brand new app, which will allow school tutors to pick up on-the-day work! So far we\u2019ve been testing it with a group of 100 of you, and we\u2019ll release it to batches of 500 tutors to monitor performance and make any quick fixes. The next app update (which will come this summer) will allow school tutors to pick up all<\/em> types of work, and by the end of the year, the app\u2019s functionality will fully replace the old one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
