Here\u2019s your monthly update:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An update on the new school pay band system\ud83d\udcb0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently we mentioned that we\u2019d be introducing pay bands for school opportunities. Unfortunately, due to a few technical problems, we\u2019ve not been able to put the pay bands in place yet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re currently doing our best to get this sorted and we\u2019ll keep you posted in the meantime (so keep an eye on your inbox and homepage). Please note any lessons you accept before this change is live, will be paid on the old pricing. For more information on this, <a href=\"https:\/\/intercom.help\/mytutor_help\/en\/articles\/6457137-i-d-like-to-know-more-about-the-update-to-pay-for-school-tutors\">read this article.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Thanks for bearing with us on this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Changes to NTP rules: how it affects school tutors \ud83d\udc47<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven\u2019t seen already, we\u2019ve made updates to our safeguarding policy in line with new rules from the NTP. We&#8217;re really sorry for not communicating about this more clearly from the off, and for any stress caused in the last couple of weeks.&nbsp; If you\u2019re a school tutor, you now need to do the following:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Complete&nbsp; new Prevent training<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Have a DBS check that\u2019s less than 12 months old<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Provide 2 approved reference checks from anyone who could sign your passport photo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Provide a 5 year address history<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 If you\u2019ve lived overseas for more than 3 months in the same country in the past 5 years &#8211; you\u2019ll need to provide your own<a href=\"https:\/\/intercom.help\/mytutor_help\/en\/articles\/6596986-i-have-lived-overseas-can-i-become-a-tutor\"> overseas checks<\/a> from that country<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We understand that it\u2019s a really big ask to get all of this paperwork, and we really appreciate the quick turnaround a lot of you have made to stay compliant. For more information about these changes and how to sort the right documents, have a read of this <a href=\"https:\/\/intercom.help\/mytutor_help\/en\/articles\/6577045-i-d-like-to-know-more-about-the-changes-with-the-ntp-and-what-is-required-to-continue-tutoring-with-schools?fbclid=IwAR0od1quif0Y_WrJhBnRERZ12J_J-TsGExhc7FPqbFOYS8O-PxSYlrnWPQE\">article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You asked and we listened: new lesson space features<\/strong> \ud83e\ude9b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Equation editor<\/strong><em> <\/em>&#8211; For Maths and Science tutors, we\u2019ve added an equation editor to the lesson space maths tools which lets you insert specific equations onto the whiteboard as images.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maths images<\/strong><em> <\/em>&#8211; There\u2019s now a list of popular maths images and graphs which can easily be added to the whiteboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>File sharing and emojis<\/strong><em> <\/em>&#8211; One that\u2019s been asked for a lot&nbsp; &#8211; you can now send files during the lesson<em>s<\/em> through the chat box.
