And while they&#8217;ve been around for a while, they&#8217;ve recently had a refresh \u2013\u00a0and now offer a whole host of new features. From improved access to lessons to a suite of revision tools, they give students the tools they need to succeed at school and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More than just lessons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It goes without saying that the person arranging tuition isn\u2019t necessarily the person having it. And that parents and students have very different needs when it comes to a website like ours. That\u2019s why everyone taking lessons with MyTutor has access to their own account that\u2019s tailored to them. Just like on Netflix or Spotify, students&#8217; accounts are separate from \u2013&nbsp;but connected to \u2013&nbsp;their parent\u2019s account.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though you <em>can<\/em> access lessons when you log in as a parent, these accounts are mostly focused on the admin side of having tutoring classes. Student Accounts are where the learning really takes off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s in a Student Account?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No two accounts look the same \u2013&nbsp;every learner is different, after all. This makes it easy for them to access their learning independently, wherever they are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, parents have a clear overview of how students are communicating with their tutor and what&#8217;s happening in their lessons from their Parent Account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let&#8217;s get set up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t used Student Accounts yet, log in to your Parent Account and follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Click your initials at the top right of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Select <strong>Your students<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">See what email address each student has associated with their account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Students can use that email to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mytutor.co.uk\/students\/login\/\"><strong> log in<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If there aren&#8217;t any students listed there, <a href=\"https:\/\/help.mytutor.co.uk\/en\/articles\/4070859-how-do-i-add-a-student-to-my-parent-account\">add a separate account <\/a>for each of your children. Encourage your child to set their own email and password, and give them ownership of their learning space.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, enjoy the privacy of your own parent account, where you can schedule lessons, message your tutor, and receive feedback on their progress.
