About me

I’m studying a Medical Radiation Physics Masters at Swansea University, I have always loved understanding how things work and this course allows me to use that desire in a way that has more real-world applications than pure Physics.

I’m dyslexic and dyspraxic and have never found writing easy so I have always preferred mathematical or science-based exams to longer essay-based subjects, but I have found my own ways to deal with the challenge. Being dyslexic and dyspraxic gives me a different way of thinking about things to most people.

In my spare time I like to run, read, play and listen to music and develop web sites. I love the problem-solving aspects that come with my areas of expertise and hope that I will be able to encourage the same desire for these characteristics in anyone I am able to tutor. The skill of problem solving is highly desired and enables the holder to conquer any challenges they face.

About my sessions

I adapt the structure of my lessons to the individual, to enable the most effective learning. Tailoring the structure allows me to better understand the students’ current knowledge and ability and address any gaps or areas of weakness.

As someone with a fascination and passion for learning, my focus is in helping to discover how the student learns best and how to harness that as a skill, rather than purely using a rote learning approach.

In all subjects though, there are details...

In all subjects though, there are details that need to be memorised, I like using novel techniques to help make this process easier and more enjoyable.

A really useful session that was perfectly explained and that covered many topics efficiently in a short amount of time. Highly recommend.

I have worked with Morgan for the past year and his impact on my studies and my performance in computer science has been amazing. As time went on I started to feel more confident and successfully managed to make the jump from a mediocre to a good understanding of the subject (as far as it goes for GCSE). What makes him such a good teacher is a mixture of factors. To start off with his knowledge on the subject is huge, and I am sure this is both from a GCSE and A-Level point of view, and this is because he really enjoys what he does (and if he took physics to uni I am sure this applies for that as well). He always knows what he talks about and makes you feel secure about the reliability of the information. Secondly the way he communicates the content is amazing. He is funny and even manages to teach the most boring theory in a flowing way so that you will rarely look at the time and how long you have left to go. He is friendly, wants you to understand and doesn't just want you to hear what he says and he always makes sure that you do understand and slows down or speeds up depending on what person you are or your confidence of the topic. To finish off he is dedicated, he'll finish off something outside of class or prepare some material for the next lesson just to make sure you can get the most out of your time. His positive attitude amongst all these things makes him a really good teacher that I highly recommend to everyone!
