About Me:

I'm working on my PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The Francis Crick Institute in London. I've always been passionate about the sciences and hope that my tutorials instill the same passion in my students, too.

About my sessions

The Session

I let my students guide the content and the pace of my tutorials. I ensure that my students understand basic scientific and mathematical concepts before moving on to more advanced concepts and testing strategies.  

I tailor my tutorials to fit the individual learning styles of my students. I use a variety of methods (diagrams, videos, text, etc) to help my students understand important concepts. By the end of my sessions I like to have my students explain these concepts in their own words and apply their knowledge to solving more complex problems.

What is chromatin?

In vivo, DNA molecules are wrapped around a series of eight histone proteins (including H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). These DNA-histone complexes, or nucleosomes, constitute “chromatin”. DNA is packaged into chromatin when it is not needed for replication or transcription.
