About me

As an engineering student, I was encouraged to secure a work placement at BinterTechnic. This enabled me to explore how engines affect an aircraft's performance, a concept I am currently working on at Imperial, whilst designing a single engine aircraft on CAD software. These professional experiences allowed me to foster some of my skills. For instance, during my time at Binter Airlines, besides observing how a dissected airplane was manipulated, I witnessed how crucial teamwork is in ensuring all deadlines are met. Similarly, working at an architectural engineering studio taught me how essential it is to stay calm when under pressure - the slightest delay can cost thousands of euros.

I have also worked for an electronic store and bureau de change. Again, problem-solving skills were crucial; whether it be dealing with currency and exchange problems or faulty gadgets. I thoroughly enjoyed working directly with the public; being bilingual in Spanish and English, as well as speaking French and German to advanced level, meant that I could effectively deal with their questions. In school I have further enhanced my adaptability and leadership skills through undertaking the position of Deputy Head Boy. This role, together with my participation in the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, has enabled me to work with not only my peers, but also with staff and parents.

About my sessions

I have been tutoring since late 2017, and I have gained enough experience to know that each student is different. I use my first lessons to get to know the student and their knowledge in the subject they want tuition in. I believe that the most effective way to ace Physics and Maths exams is by doing past-paper questions non-stop. This allows the student to know what is required from them and also what areas they have to improve in. My goal would be to go through past paper questions with the...

My goal would be to go through past paper questions with the student while I simultaneously go over the topics the student is finding most difficult. Learning Spanish, however, is different to Maths and Physics. As a Spanish native speaker, I can say that Spanish is heavily based on structure and grammar. Therefore my Spanish lessons consist mainly of a grammar section, followed by a vocab section. This is followed by a section of native expressions used in the Spanish language all the time. This will quickly enhance the student's conversational skills.
